PRESENTATION ART & NATURE WORKSHOPS
INTRODUCTION ART & NATURE WORKSHOPS We are pleased to invite you to the presentation of the Art & Nature Workshops with James Lambourne (London, 1956). Today, Wednesday 9th of May 2012 at 19.30 in Palmyra Sculpture Centre (Establiments).
In addition, we will present the documentary “Cycles, James Lambourne” which will introduce us to the work of this artist, from its beginnings to the present, showing the different stages that make up his career. Through interviews with people who maintain a close relationship with him, and some of the most significant texts that have been written about his work, we approach to the world, the principles and process of creating of this versatile and multi-disciplinary artist.

As a result from his interest in nature, multidisciplinary artist James Lambourne – who lives in Mallorca since 1962 – carries out a series of spontaneous interventions that fit perfectly within the conceptual confines of Land Art. Through the years he has compiled a large collection of found objects, which he also uses for his installations. A life long relationship with nature’s environment is ever present in his work.
This workshop is to open up awareness of the creative energy of Nature, whilst working with the four elements (Earth, Wind, Fire, Water). James’s knowledge and understanding, will guide our individual creative relationship with nature. James will take us into the mountains, planes and beaches of Mallorca and show is the infinite art that surrounds us. Every participant can work with his or her medium, but it is recommended to bring a photo camera.
The workshop is open to artists, architects, designers, photographers and everyone else that has an interest to increase awareness of Art in Nature.
Palmyra Sculpture Centre will provide space and materials needed for the workshop as well as the space to exhibit the results of the workshop.

ART in NATURE workshop with JAMES and MARY LAMBOURNE on MAY 1
24 hour workshop for Young People from 12 to 16 years.
From Monday April 30 19.00 hours to Tuesday May 1, 2012 19.00 hours.
Presentation of Workshop on Tuesday May 1 at 18.00 hours in Palmyra
This workshop is to open up awareness of the creative energy of Nature, whilst working with the four elements (Earth, Wind, Fire and Water) introducing techniques available to artists.
Palmyra Sculpture Centre will provide space and materials needed for the workshop as well as the space to exhibit the results of the workshop. It is a good idea to bring a camera.
You can spend the night in Palmyra, but please bring matrass, sleeping bag and cushion with you. Costs of the workshop is Euro 75, including materials. Costs of the catering is Euro 25 (Supper, Breakfast, Lunch and Tappa’s at the presentation).
